The Parent Ed office is closed on major holidays, as well as for the week between Christmas and New Years day. Please note: classes and support groups are not held on major holidays.

Registration Options
1) Online

To register for a event online, please use our Online Calendar to search for the event, click on the date you wish to attend, and you will see a link at the bottom of page for online registration. You will be prompted to complete a user profile, and once you’ve completed the requested information you will receive a prompt to enter your credit card information. Submit the request and you will receive a confirmation email verifying your registration in the event. In order to register for an event online, you must also pay for the event online.

For more information or to register by telephone, please call our Parent Education Line at (510) 204-1334 and select one of the following:

Press #1 for "Birth Center Tours"

Press #2 for "Prenatal Classes & Lectures"

Press #3 for "Support Groups & Special Programs"

Press #4 for "Becoming a Father Class"

Press #5 for "Infant CPR Class"

Press #6 for "S.A.N.D."

Please leave a message and we will return your call within 48 hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

3) Email:

For more information or to register for an event, you may email the Parent Education Department at absmcparented@sutterhealth.org with the following information:

1) Your Name, Address, Phone Number

2) Your Partner's Name

3) Your Due Date

4) Your Doctor's/Midwife's Name

5) Class Title and your preferred Date/Time

Once we receive your email, we will reply to confirm your registration and will verify the class, date, time and location along with payment information.

Payment Options.
1) Online

To pay for your event online, choose your event(s) from the drop-down menu and your selection will be added to your shopping cart. You’ll then be requested to enter your credit card information. Please note: your registration in a class is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email.

2) Telephone

To pay for your event over the phone using a credit card, please call (510) 204-4461, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. You will not be able to use our online registration system, but will be able to register and pay for your event over the phone.

3) U.S. Mail

If you have registered for an event over the telephone, and would like to pay by check, please send us the following information along with your check:

1) Name, Address, and Phone Number

2) Partner's Name

3) Due Date

4) Doctor's/Midwife's Name

5) Event Title and your preferred Date/Time

Once we receive your request, we will call you to confirm your registration and will verify the event title, date, time and location along with payment information. Due to limited space, we must receive your payment at least two weeks before the start of your event or your space may be given to another family.

Cancellation Policy

If you cannot make it to your scheduled event for any reason, please call our office at (510) 204-4461 at the earliest possible convenience so we can accommodate a family from the waiting list.

Please note there is a 72-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel within 72-hours before the date of the event, your full registration fee will be credited back to your credit card minus a $20.00 processing fee.

Late Registration

Online registration is available until 72-hours before the date of an event. If you would like to register for an event after this date, or would like to be added to a waitlist if an event is sold out, we will make every effort to accommodate your request based on space availability.
